The Everest Base Camp via Gokyo Lakes Trek is an exhilarating 18-day adventure that diverges from the classic Everest Base Camp route, offering a unique and tranquil experience. Starting with a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,840m), the trek follows the familiar path to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) before branching off towards the serene Gokyo Lakes, reaching an altitude of4,750m.
Key highlights include crossing Mong La Pass (3,957m) for spectacular views of Mt. Ama Dablam(6,812m) and Mt. Khumbila (5,380m), exploring the picturesque Gokyo Lakes, and climbing Gokyo Ri (5,357m) for stunning sunrise vistas of Everest (8,848m) and surrounding peaks. The trek continues with a challenging ascent over Cho La Pass (5,420m), connecting the Gokyo Valley with the Everest Base Camp route.
