The trek to the Everest Region is a rewarding adventure that combines outdoor exploration with cultural immersion in the Himalayas, beginning in vibrant Kathmandu and flying to Lukla (9,350 feet). From Lukla, trekkers follow ancient trade routes through remote valleys, small villages, and secluded monasteries to reach Namche Bazaar, the Gateway to Everest, where stunning mountain views await.Highlights include the Everest Base Camp Trek, featuring a visit to the historic Tengboche Monastery(12,887 feet) and breathtaking views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and Lhotse, along with a sunrise hike to Kala Patthar (5,550 m). Adventurers can also explore the beautiful Gokyo Lakes or challenge themselves with the Everest Three Passes trek, which crosses Renjo La, Cho La, and Kongma La for incredible vistas of the Khumbu Himalayas.
